Raw food chef/coach. Biarritz South West of France
A passionate cook as far as I can remember I always enjoyed cooking. My first memories are with my grand mother, during holidays. My greatest joy was to get up early and go with her to the market in BIarritz, to choose amazing fresh products and then come back home in order to prepare lunch.
After studying International Law in France, the UK and the USA, different working experiences in France and abroad, raising two beautiful little girls… I felt I needed some changes! At that time of my life, I never had the energy nor the clarity of mind to take upon the decision to fulfil my dream: turn my passion into my career. I didn’t know how or where to start. One day browsing twitter I stumbled across the expression “superfood”.Being in France and all, I wasn’t familiar with it. So like any normal person, I looked it up on the Internet, and going from site to site I inevitably came across Raw and Living foods. I am curious by nature, so I investigated….
Then, everything cascaded in a matter of a few days. While chatting about “my new discovery” with my little sis an awesome yoga instructor by the way and who travelled around the world as a professional snowboarder, one day said: find a course/ retreat and just go! Ok, pretty simple, even though it sounded like the craziest idea ever. That week-end, My husband and I watched a documentary about Bali on Saturday. On Sunday ,and Do not Laugh, we watched Eat, Pray, Love ( I know a little bit late….). Monday morning, with my husband at work, my girls at school. I sat down in front of my computer and searched for courses, found a lot in the US, but it didn’t click. Then I found this four-week certification course in Bali, running in parallel of a yoga teacher training. Everything seemed to be pointing to Bali!
Exactly what I needed: the opportunity to meet amazing people, to dive into the passionate world of raw and living foods, to understand that a healthy diet as well as a regular practice was a simple way to get balanced again. When my husband came home that night, I showed him the website, and he too said: GO! It couldn’t be that easy, leaving home for four weeks, leaving him in charge of the girls, the house… and financially could we afford it and of course my passport was expired and so on and so on. Finally, after a lot of excitement, nervousness, emails exchanges I found myself sitting on a plane for a 25 hours flight to Bali on the 23rd of September 2011.
